So recently I attended this illustration workshop, mainly because I’m all for anything illustration, and I also hoped to pick something up to better my own work.
At this workshop, we went through the process of getting a pencil sketch into illustrator, which was something that I was used to, but what really sold me was the shortcuts and techniques I learned during the illustrator portion. Honestly, some of the things I learned, I’m so glad that I know now because it’s going to shave off so much of my work time.
Another interesting bit that is so simple yet extremely helpful is colouring in greyscale first. Doing it in this way you can see which areas would be perfect for contrast and that for me, is honestly a game changer.
Overall I had a lot of fun, and I actually learned a lot. I wonder next time what would my next illustration endeavour be next?
Until next time!!
